Why I want to improve my English?

I feel like I was the dumbest person in the room.

Yes, you read it right. Story Time:

I was working in Avanade for a special project under Concierge 365. Avanade is one of the leading provider of innovative digital, cloud and advisory services, industry solutions and design led-experiences across the Microsoft ecosystem. It was my first job in Accenture and after graduating from college as an Industrial Engineer. That time I thought I will get stuck on being an ambassador for Office 365. Good thing, after 10 months I got promoted as the first area Quality Analyst after having the courage to apply. At that young age, I really thought I know it all. But I was wrong. With this special project I had a partner and around that time I guess he is already working for about 10 years already. During our meetings with the clients and our higher managers I always run out of words so he will help me out by finishing most of my sentences. With that experience I thought to myself I am humiliating myself. So I needed to up skill myself, because if not? How will I be able to catch up with all the males that I always encounter during the meetings? Not to mention they have been in the industry for more than 10 years and some of them are the engineers of Microsoft with brilliant minds. Hi to Mr. Cheng, Frenzua (I don’t know how to spell his name), sir Brian and Isaac.

With that, I indulge myself to the files that Isaac gave me (he is my partner on that project). I was just lucky that he is way older than me and share most of his wisdom. He even introduce me to Toast Masters. He said that it would be better for me to join one of the clubs to if I really want to improve my communication skills. So yes, that was one of the main reason why I loved english. Aside from that, I since I was in grade school I already love reading books.

And besides the languages of science, aviation, computing, diplomacy, and tourism are all in English. Understanding English improves your chances of landing a decent position in a global corporation in your native country or in search of employment abroad. Learning English is crucial for socializing, enjoyment, and employment because it is the language of the internet, media, and worldwide communication.
